Our Story
Karmentea began with my own story...
My name is Lola, and I was born in Colombia and raised in California. Growing up between two cultures shaped the way I see beauty. From Colombia I carry the richness of color, craftmanship, and tradition. From California, I learned ease, simplicity, and effortless confidence.
I always felt inspired by my country of origin, by the hands that create with pride. As I moved deeper into fashion, I saw how much of the industry had become fast and mass produced. I knew I wanted something different. A brand built with care. A brand that works with people who ae truly passionate about their craft and who pour their love and experience into every piece.
I studied fashion design and later fashion marketing, but Karmentea was never just a business idea. It was a way to tell stories of my heritage, to elevate the hands that make our swimwear, and to create pieces that make anyone who wears it feel confident in their own skin.
Each garment is thoughtfully designed and proudly made, focusing on timeless shapes and the artistry of the hands that bring every piece to life.
Our goal is simple: to create swimwear that feels beautiful to wear and meaningful to make. Nothing rushed. Nothing careless.
